Forum temático 2 - LEITURA E REDAÇÃO EM LÍNGUA INGLESA
Gênero e Tipo textual são dois conceitos diferentes, mas indissociáveis na prática.
Gêneros textuais referem-se diretamente às práticas sociais, ou seja, são os textos materializados que encontramos no dia-a-dia (um bilhete, um telefonema, um cardápio, uma receita, uma carta, etc). Utilizados como formas de organizar a linguagem, surgem e situam-se e integram-se funcionalmente nas culturas em que se desenvolvem e caracterizam-se muito mais por suas funções comunicativas, cognitivas e institucionais do que por suas peculiaridades linguísticas e estruturais como nos tipos de texto. As novas tecnologias e suas interferências na comunicação diária propiciaram o surgimento de novos gêneros textuais: conversa - telefonema; carta - e-mail.
TIPO DE TEXTO: São as formas diversas de composição de texto, como se organiza "o interior" da estrutura textual. São uma espécie de sequência teoricamente definida pela natureza linguística de sua composição (aspectos sintáticos, tempos verbais...) Ex.: Descrição, narração, argumentação.

Text types: are the various forms of composition of text, such as "the interior" is organised by the textual structure. Are a kind of linguistic theory defined by the sequence of its composition (syntactic aspects, tenses...) Eg.: description, narration, argumentation.
